Since first working together in 2015 Alena and Anne have been exploring the diversity of exciting repertoire written for this famously enchanting combination of instruments. Alena Walentin is an international soloist, chamber musician, guest solo flute with leading orchestras and judge in many international flute competitions, flute and chamber music teacher at prestigious conservatoires in England, Holland and Denmark, and a former Vice-Chair of the British Flute Society.
Anne Denholm is one of the leading British harpists of her generation and served as Official Harpist to as then HRH The Prince of Wales from 2015-2019. She freelances with orchestras across England, including the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra, and holds teaching positions at Eton College and the Dragon School, Oxford, and hugely enjoys working as an Instrumental Tutor for the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain and National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
