We are delighted to welcome the outstanding violinist Eleanor Corr to open the season. She is winner of the Royal Overseas League Competition, leader of English Touring Opera and period instrument orchestra Old Street Band, and has been made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music. Solo appearances include regular festival recitals, performances of the concertos by Mendelsohn, Sibelius, Mozart, Vaughan Williams, Ravel, Schnittke and Vivaldi and acclaimed recordings and broadcasts. Her Quartet Pocket Sinfonia are winners of St. Martin-in-the-Fields International Chamber Music Competition Audience Prize, REMA European Early Music Network Showcase Artists 2021 and Continuo Foundation Awards 2021 and 2022. Much in demand as a guest concertmaster, Eleanor has performed with Stavanger Symfoniorkester, London Concertante, Paraorchestra, Orchestra Nova London and Orkester Innlandet, and has been Orchestral Mentor for the Royal Academy of Music.
The outstanding soloist and chamber musician Emil Duncomb is also a founder member of the prizewinning Pocket Sinfonia ensemble.
