Pelléas Ensemble
Thursday, 26th April – 2018
Crediton Parish Church
Henry Roberts – flute; Luba Tunnicliffe – viola; Oliver Wass – harp.
Our first concert for the 2018 season presents an unusual combination of instruments. These London based players won the Royal Philharmonic Society Henderson Chamber Ensemble Award in 2017, as well as other prizes in 2015 and 2016. Their London Wigmore Hall debut was praised for its ‘captivating vitality’ and ‘effortlessness and delicacy’.
Their programme will include the Sonata for flute viola and harp by Debussy; Elegaic Trio by Arnold Bax; and Bartok’s Suite Paysanne Hongroise.
