Thursday 15th July
Aronowitz Ensemble
The players for this concert are:
Magnus Johnston and Nadia Wyzenbeek (Violins),
Tom Hankey (Viola), Marie Macleod (Cello) and Tom Poster (Piano).
The Ensemble was formed out of a desire of seven outstanding young international artists to explore and perform chamber music together.
Since its sell–out debut in 2004, the Ensemble has maintained a busy schedule of engagements across the United Kingdom and beyond.
They have participated in many Festivals up and down the country as well as studio recordings and broadcasts.
Several composers have written works for the Ensemble in its full septet formation.
They enjoy the collaboration with other artists such as oboist, Nicholas Daniel, singers such as Andrew Kennedy and Elizabeth Watts amongst others.
In 2009, the Aronowitz Ensemble was awarded a Special Ensemble Scholarship from the Borletti-Buitoni Trust, providing support and financial assistance towards a number of projects.
Their programme will be the Divertimento in C major, Hob xiv:3 by Haydn; Piano Quintet no.2 in A major by Dvorak and Piano Quartet in G minor by Brahms.
