Alexander Sitkovetsky ... violin
with Qian Wu ... piano
Our Season begins with a violin recital given by Alexander Sitkovetsky and Qian Wu. In 2009 they were joined by a cellist and gave us an excellent concert of Piano Trios. Both artists were trained at the Yehudi Menuhin School and subsequently have given concerts all over the world. The Strad magazine has hailed Alexander as one of the ‘stars of the New Century’
In this first concert the Duo will play Sonata no.2 and Sonata no.3 by Brahms, Sonata no.3 by Grieg and Sonata no.1 by Prokofiev.
